Kansas farmers and ranchers are stewards of our natural resources. Streams, rivers, riparian areas, and productive land have always been important to livestock producers. Early settlers used these areas for grazing, water, and shelter. Livestock producers are interested in protecting these resources and are challenged with finding a balance between sustaining the environment and maintaining profitability.
This publication is intended to assist pasture-based livestock producers with management practices that will contribute toward a healthy landscape and may enhance economic productivity.
