Become a key player in a targeted conservation effort through the Kansas Alliance for Wetlands and Streams, Inc. (KAWS) as we launch the most aggressive plan yet devised to create, protect and restore our state’s limited wetland and stream resources. Since 2003, KAWS has generated more than $5.5 million through grants and in-kind match for habitat restoration and water quality improvement, as well as other key natural resource concerns. That amounts to over 200 wetland and stream projects statewide in rural and urban areas - on both private and public lands. As a Founding Benefactor, your tax-deductible contribution will ensure our continued efforts and success. Your money will go into a revolving fund that can match funds for grants we receive to complete projects, and can cover administrative and other associated costs.
Never has the level of interest and support been so high for our state's wetlands and streams! Never has it been so important to tackle the critical issues that threaten the quality and function of these natural systems! Now is the time to act and support the wetland and stream systems that support us and provide us with immeasurable benefits!
